KVKK privacy notice

This notice is provided under Article 10 of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) to inform you about how your personal data is processed when you use yabancıyagitmesin.

Data controller

Your personal data is processed by yabancıyagitmesin as the data controller. Contact: [email protected].

Personal data processed

• Identity and contact: full name, username, phone number, e-mail address.
• Location: the country, province and district you live in.
• User content: profile photo and biography, messages and attachments, listings and their photos, reports.
• Transaction security: session and device information, IP address, sign-in times, agreement acceptance records.

Purposes of processing

• Creating and managing your account.
• Providing messaging, group and listing services.
• Keeping accounts and the platform secure and preventing abuse.
• Responding to requests of competent authorities and using records as evidence in legal disputes.

Legal grounds

Your personal data is processed on the grounds listed in Article 5 of the KVKK: it is directly related to the conclusion or performance of a contract, it is necessary to fulfil the controller's legal obligations, it is necessary to establish, exercise or protect a right, and it is necessary for the controller's legitimate interests provided that your fundamental rights and freedoms are not harmed.

Transfers

Your data may be shared with service providers that are essential to the service (server hosting, SMS verification, e-mail delivery, file storage, push notifications) and, on request, with competent public authorities. Transfers abroad are made in line with the conditions of Article 9 of the KVKK.

How data is collected

Your data is collected electronically through the website and the mobile app, from the information you enter and from the records created while you use the service.

Your rights

Under Article 11 of the KVKK you have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed, to request information about it, to learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly, to know the third parties it is transferred to, to request its correction if it is incomplete or inaccurate and its deletion or destruction under the conditions of the law, to object, and to claim compensation for damages.
